This book is a story of the characters found in Jane Austen’s Pride and Prejudice, plus several that have been added in previous books by the author. It assumes that Darcy first meets Elizabeth Bennet when she has just turned 16. Darcy's father has been a friend of Mr. Bennet since their days together at Cambridge and a partner in an investment venture with him. When Darcy's father suffers a stroke and lies dying, he requests that Darcy go to Longbourn and bring Mr. Bennet and Elizabeth to Pemberley to help Darcy and Georgiana cope with his death. During her stay, Elizabeth comes to regard Darcy as the ideal older brother. Over the following years Elizabeth and Georgiana, who become close, correspond regularly and see each other occasionally, but for various reasons, Darcy does not see Elizabeth again for three years. Elizabeth, over those years, has had opportunities to wed, but can find no man within her sphere with whom she thinks she could be compatible and begins to believe she will never marry. Georgiana, however, has other ideas and makes it a project of hers to find Elizabeth a sponsor in the ton and to have her introduced to men of the ton with whom Elizabeth might find a mutual attraction, hoping her brother might be one of them. Darcy, however, refuses to consider Elizabeth because he considers it his duty to his family to marry for wealth and station. Of course, he finds himself being more and more attracted to her and she to him, but she denies her feelings because he apparently thinks of her only as his sister's friend. At the same time, Bingley returns to Netherfield to restart his pursuit of Jane Bennet, but he encounters problems and Jane finds an unexpected source of love. Finally, Wickham almost kills Darcy, but his story after the attack takes a unusual twist.
Georgiana Project A Tale of Darcy and Elizabeth edition by Don H Miller Romance eBooks
Story lacked much in the way of suspense as there is no major struggles between the main characters. A little light on the romance and I never quite felt the spark between Darcy and Lizzie. Lizzie was too perfect in that she could do everything so very well. Darcy's character was not very well developed.I did enjoy Georgiana's role very much. Can't quite buy Gigi for Georgiana's nickname.
I have always thought that the Colonel and Jane make a nice couple, as they did in this book.
The Bingleys played a very minor role and Lady Catherine made but one brief appearance.
I did not find the story of Wickham, in the epilogue, very plausible.
Some subplots were never developed. They just seemed to disappear.
The book is in need of some editing.
In the end, everything was wrapped up much too neatly but overall an okay read.

Georgiana Project A Tale of Darcy and Elizabeth edition by Don H Miller Romance eBooks Reviews
A Pride and Prejudice enjoyable variation.
Just a bit different from the usual story-lines .. And holds your interest the entire time. So much love is in the story, keeps you captivated. I look forward to more books by D.Miller.
Enjoy that some of P & Ps minor characters get a bit more attention in this rendition. A nice read on a cold day.
Stiff writing, poor grammar, although the plot is somewhat interesting, but in many ways unbelievable. This author needs to work on his English
I enjoyed this story, the premise that Darcy's and Elizabeth's fathers knew each other and Lizzy's father was not poor was an interesting twist. I would have given it 4 stars except for the speeches - it was very irksome to hear a lot of 20th century word usage (luckily, no slang.) Much of the phrasing and word usage was not from the 19th century but from the very late 20th century - one example is nobody in the 19th century use the word totally as in " I totally understand". read it with this in mind and the story'll be fine.
this is the third book where the term "gentile" (nonJew) was used instead of the correct word "genteel". There are a few other editing errors but it reads easily. There is no angst or high drama and basically little or no plot, but this author does have some writing skills. I personally am not a fan of the "super Lizzy" who is soooo accomplished that it makes me want to gag - but if that is your cup of tea you will really enjoy this variation.
I enjoyed the story. I will say that I read something by the same author in paperback and the beginning was the same but the middle and ending changed a lot. I wish authors would state they change the name and edit the books. I would still have purchased the book to be honest I just don't like when authors make me pay for a different ending. I read allot of stories about Lizzy and Darcy and I'm always looking for something new.
The story was cute. If you like what ifs about the Darcy's you will like this book. Many of favorite characters made this book more interesting they were in more than just a few chapters.
If you have an open mind about stories that make the Darcy's come to life you will enjoy this tale.
